How to Remove Pull Out Kitchen Drawers

Pull-out kitchen drawers are a convenient addition to any kitchen, as they provide easy access to all of your cooking and dining essentials. However, if you need to remove a pull-out kitchen drawer for cleaning, maintenance, or replacement, it is important to do so correctly to avoid damaging the drawer or the cabinet.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to remove pull-out kitchen drawers:

1. Open the Drawer Fully

Start by fully opening the drawer. This will give you access to the drawer slides that are located on either side of the drawer.

2. Locate the Drawer Slide Release Lever

On most pull-out kitchen drawers, there is a drawer slide release lever located on each side of the drawer. This lever is typically a small, plastic or metal lever that is attached to the drawer slide.

3. Pull the Drawer Slide Release Lever

Once you have located the drawer slide release lever, pull it towards you. This will release the drawer from the drawer slides.

4. Carefully Pull the Drawer Out

Once the drawer is released from the drawer slides, carefully pull the drawer out of the cabinet. Be sure to support the drawer from the bottom to prevent it from falling.

5. Reinstall the Drawer

To reinstall the drawer, simply reverse the steps above. First, align the drawer with the cabinet opening and slide it in until it is fully seated. Then, push the drawer slide release lever back into place to lock the drawer in place.

Tips:

* If you are having difficulty removing the drawer, try applying a little force to the drawer slide release lever. * If the drawer is still not coming out, check to see if there is anything obstructing the drawer slides. * If you are replacing the drawer, be sure to measure the opening before purchasing a new drawer.
