Building a Kitchen Cabinet Base: A Step-by-Step Guide

  8. Cut the top frame. The top frame of the cabinet base will be made from 1x2 pine boards. Cut four pieces to the desired width of the base, and then cut four pieces to the desired depth.
  9. Assemble the top frame. Apply wood glue to the edges of the top frame pieces, and then brad nail them together. Be sure to square up the frame as you assemble it.
  10. Attach the top frame to the cabinet base. Apply wood glue to the top edges of the cabinet base, and then brad nail the top frame in place. Be sure to square up the frame as you attach it.
